Samford Hymn Sing

Samford University will host its annual Hymn Sing, featuring congregational singing of familiar songs of faith, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. in Reid Chapel. The public is invited.

Dan Lawhon, organist/choirmaster at Baptist Church of the Covenant, Birmingham, will direct the program, with Barbara Bamberg, concert pianist and church musician from Houston, accompanying. Soprano Sharon Lawhon, associate music professor at Samford, will be the guest soloist. Samford school of the arts Dean Joseph Hopkins and Samford President Andrew Westmoreland will also participate.
