Graham, Charles Edward

Charles Edward Graham, a former Alabama Baptist pastor and retired professor of Old Testament at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, died Aug. 30. He was 85.

Receiving degrees from Samford University in Birmingham and New Orleans Seminary, Graham served as pastor of one church in Louisiana and four churches in Alabama: Wagarville Baptist; Eutaw Baptist; First Baptist, Elba; and First Baptist, Greenville.

Most recently, he served as interim pastor of several south Alabama churches. Graham was a member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope, where he was a Sunday School teacher.

A native of Jackson, Graham was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one son; and two grandsons. (TAB)
