You are right on target with your editorial “A Prince or a Shepherd?” in the Aug. 10 issue. I fear we have far too many pastors who think they are a prince. They seem to think they are CEOs and not servant leaders. When we lose sight of the fact that our Lord was a servant and cease to do our best to be like Him, we are in big trouble. I have done quite a bit of research on pastoral authority and the idea that you’re not to question staff decisions as you should not touch or question “God’s anointed.” It is my belief that every born-again Christian is one of “God’s anointed.”
