Alabama natives John and Dana Gunter have been appointed by the North American Mission Board as church-planting missionaries in Dothan.
Prior to being appointed to their new post, the Gunters served as church planters for the International Mission Board in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, since 1997.
A Piedmont native, John Gunter earned a bachelor of arts degree in science-building construction from Auburn University and a master of divinity degree in pastoral ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dana Gunter, a Dothan native, earned an associate’s degree in education from George C. Wallace State Community College in Dothan, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Auburn University.
The Gunters have two sons, Daniel and Luke. (TAB)
