Q: What led you to work in the ministry?

A: I had a career and the Lord really spoke to my heart and told me that He wanted me to marry a preacher. About a year later, Frank came to be the pastor of our church in Columbia, S.C. We knew that we would be married before we had our first date or our first kiss. When God picks your mate out for you, He does it just right; we have a tendency to make mistakes. When the Lord led us away from Columbia, I knew that He really wanted me in the ministry full time.

Q: What does it demand?

A: A lot of time in prayer and preparing yourself for whatever you are getting ready to do. You have to trust the Lord when (opportunities are) presented. A lot of times, you are scared and you know you can’t do it without His help.

Q: What do you get from the ministry?
A: You get a lot of eternal rewards. It’s a joyful experience to see people saved and grow closer to the Lord. It’s an inner joy that is a part of the abundant life that Christ promised.

Q: How does your husband support you?
A: He knows that I do the things that God tells me to do, and he is in full support of whatever ministry I feel led to take wherever we are.

Q: How do you see yourself involved in this ministry in the future?

A: I take each day as it comes. No one knows the future, so I try to be obedient every day. I start out each day and ask the Lord to order my steps that I might be obedient to His voice all day.

Q: What difference will this ministry make for you in the future?
A: I feel like God prepares us today for tomorrow. Every time I’m obedient, God opens new opportunities.
