The Buccleuch Community Church received notice to move from the public-school building at the end of June. What started as a major problem became an opportunity for the young congregation to pray, trust the Lord and see Him work on their behalf. Days before the deadline, they found just the right place. It is not a brick building with stained glass windows and a cross on the roof. They leased space upstairs in a building between the police station and a neighborhood shopping center.

Why is it the right place? It is on a main street with high visibility, with public transport, where people in the neighborhood come regularly to shop. The congregation has a base for weekday ministry in the Indian community where Hindus and Muslims live.

Pray for the Buccleuch Community Church that people in the neighborhood will visit the new church to find out what it is all about – and hear the gospel.

Pray for us as we walk through the application process in anticipation of coming back to Johannesburg for another term.
