Congratulations on your excellent, thorough presentation of the history of the English translations of the Bible in “The English Bible: How It Came to Be” in the Oct. 9 issue.
This valuable information should be read by Baptists and others. It could help us all find translations that aid in our search for the truth from God’s Word. If we depend on the original King James Version of 1611, very few of us could read it.
And thanks for the “Spiritual Buffet” column by Bob Waldrep. This is much-needed truth for us all.
I read The Alabama Baptist regularly. I wish all Baptists did.
