Wendy and I thought that when God called us to the Cebuanos of the Philippines that we would be on this “one road” forever. However, in 2002, God began to stir in our hearts about the many unreached and hard-to-reach places in the Philippines. We had a choice. We could continue on the one road or come back and stand before the next generation, challenging them to walk with us until all “roads” (unreached people groups) are reached.
Through Nehemiah Teams, this is what we are doing.
Because of the expansion of Nehemiah Teams into many different countries and people groups for 2009 and the continued plan of expansion for 2010 and beyond, we need your help. We need your prayers more than ever. We need many of you to help us by becoming a team member.
God has led us to focus our efforts in three main areas: evangelism teams, work teams and service teams. We have organized ourselves into four main areas to ensure we cover all the bases in preparing for and training young people to finish the Great Commission in this generation. These main areas are strategic setup, mobilization, equipping and training and nurture and follow-up.
Our present needs list for personnel are:
• journeyman/International Service Corps position for Philippine country coordinator (International Mission Board position).
• Habitat for Humanity strategic setup coordinator for Asia and Pacific (volunteer).
• orphanage team strategic setup coordinator for Asia and Pacific (volunteer).
• regional mobilizers (volunteer).
• equippers and trainers (volunteer).
The description of these positions is on our Web site, www.nehemiahteams.com/volunter%20page.html. Come let us build together.
