Dalton

Taste the Sky
Selectric Records

This is an impressive and edgy release — something Selectric seems to have a knack for — and there is just something very unpretentious about Preston Dalton’s voice, a rare quality in young, messy-haired bands.

The music is aggressive, yet soothing — another definite rarity. It’s engaging and catchy and kept fresh the whole album through by intelligent rock arrangements a la British worship band Delirious? and precocious instrumentation.

It’s reminiscent of innovative Christian rockers Johnny Q. Public. The production is also top-notch. Christian radio won’t be able to get enough of Dalton.
