One Drop of Rain
Self-released
“One Drop of Rain” is a testament to what can happen when believers get together to simply enjoy the Lord in song.
Alabama band Turning Point, based in Branchville, is a group of seven believers forging seven different musical backgrounds into a refreshingly eclectic — and bilingual — musical presence.
They call themselves a contemporary Christian band, and, in a certain sense, it is an accurate description.
But the varying styles — country, gospel, even a hint of reggae — blend together from the stir of very soulful guitar in a manner demanding a hearty nod to sounds of the ’70s and, at times, the ’80s.
Overall “One Drop of Rain” is very satisfying. Go to www.turningpointmusic.org for more information.
