Science Professors Honored with Scholarship

Science Professors Honored with Scholarship

Two longtime science professors have been honored at Judson College with an alumnae-sponsored scholarship in their names.

The George C. Williams and Thomas H. Wilson Science Merit Scholarship will assist promising science majors at the college with the immediate goal of providing a full-tuition scholarship to entering freshmen. Forty-five graduates began the scholarship as a tribute to the professors and founded the George C. Williams and Thomas H. Wilson Society to oversee the fund.

Williams began teaching at Judson in 1966 and Wilson in 1972.

The society is soliciting other donors to grow the fund and intends to provide a network for science graduates, to provide mentoring opportunities among themselves for current students and to enlist other alumnae in recruiting science students to the college.
