We are still in need of volunteer teams to come work with our MKs (Missionary Kids) in the month of May. This service would truly be a blessing to the children as well as to the adults, who would be comforted to know that their kids were in good hands while they are in their training sessions.
Donny was recently in the Sierra Tarahumara. The Tarahumara people live in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. They are isolated from much of the outside world and are spread throughout the Copper Canyon.
While the Tarahumara number more than 90,000, they are less than .5 percent evangelical.
There have been many missions groups targeting the Tarahumara but with very few results.
Due to poor nutrition and a lack of health care, the infant mortality rate among the Tarahumara is more than 50 percent. They are currently in the middle of a terrible drought.
Please pray for the Tarahumara as we are working with others to begin a holistic ministry that would include a way to not only help them physically but spiritually as well.
