I finally had to say something about the divorce issue. The one who said (in the May 21 Letters to the Editor section) the Bible does not support divorce at all needs to dust off the Bible. Jesus gives one reason. Paul gives two — death and the nonbeliever leaving. However, a lot of churches are closed-minded like this and are going as far as running off people as bad examples. Once born again, my Bible says all sins are forgiven. Jesus is a God of first, second and even third chances.
Reading and studying the Bible, you will find Jesus said learn of Me. This will give you an insight to real mercy and grace. My main thing that I have learned about Jesus over the last 43 years is simple — don’t judge others for your own sake.
