Alabama Baptist pastors in the Huntsville and Birmingham areas will have the opportunity to preview the upcoming movie “End of the Spear.”
The movie depicts the story of five missionaries who dared to reach one of the most savage tribes in history, the Auca of Ecuador. This is the same story shared by Elisabeth Elliot in her book, “Through Gates of Splendor.”
Safe at Home with Scott Dawson is offering a complimentary screening of the movie Jan. 9 at the Regal Hollywood 18 theater in Huntsville. In Birmingham, the movie will be shown Jan. 10 at Carmike Theaters at the Summit. Along with the movie, pastors will have an opportunity to learn about Safe at Home and how they can partner with the organization for Safe at Home events.
Begun in Birmingham, Safe at Home partners with minor league baseball teams and local churches to produce postgame events with music and a Christian message.
Safe At Home has featured some of the biggest names in Christian music and speakers such as Dawson, TobyMac, Rick & Bubba, Point of Grace, Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Derryberry and Veggie Tales.
Safe at Home will return to the Birmingham Barons June 4 and Huntsville Stars July 30.
