Letter — NAMB is 0 for 2

With the departure of Geoff Hammond, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) is now 0 for 2 in the past decade. What does this say about the 57 trustees who not only hire these leaders but just a few months ago gave Mr. Hammond a positive job evaluation? This lack of leadership has come at a crucial time when we should be mounting a nationwide crusade to bring back America into the Christian fold. Some suggestions for the Southern Baptist Convention power brokers: Reduce the NAMB board to 24 members, get professional help to help select the next director (and) distribute timely reports to keep us informed on the mission, activities and fiscal operation of the board. And remember without a vision, the people perish.
