Gamma Sigma Holds Reading Marathon

Gamma Sigma, the University of Mobile’s (UM) chapter of the national English honor society Sigma Tau Delta, recently held a “Chronicles of Narnia” reading marathon.

From 10 a.m. Sept. 24 until 10 a.m. Sept. 25 in the UM cafeteria, students and professors worked together to read aloud the book series written by C.S. Lewis.

Mark Foley, UM president, kicked off the reading marathon by reading the first part of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”

Reading marathons and other literary events are sponsored each year by Gamma Sigma. Another reading marathon will take place during the spring semester.
