Excellent editorial — “A Blow for Religious Liberty” — in the Jan. 14 issue. How right you are. Yes, several years ago some of the leading ministers and religious leaders were very subtly, and some very openly, trying to knock down our long heralded freedom belief of separation of church and state. At that time, it interfered with their special interest agendas.
We all need to understand that religious freedom is for everyone and not just when it meets our current need or project. Religious freedom is for all times and for all. It does bother us sometimes, but speed limits on the highways bother me sometimes, too.
