Christian people who stand up for all that is good and right in our state and nation are to be commended.
The gambling threat and other issues threaten to destroy our society.
The greatest challenge to our churches is in the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He commanded His people to “make disciples” and to “[teach] them to observe all things that I have commanded.”
The results will be better people. Better people — following Jesus — will not gamble, steal, kill, lie or destroy family life.
A few years ago, our United States president appointed a “drug czar” to help protect our borders from the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S.
The czar was reported to have personally criticized his Mexican counterpart for letting the flood of drugs come into the U.S.
The Mexican official is reported to have said, “If there were no market to sell the drugs, they would not be brought across the border.”
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we can be a “better people.” Churches, share the good news.
