He’s Been Faithful
Pure Springs Gospel

Despite a sustained career throughout the ’90s and into the 21st century, Vicki Yohe is still mostly and simply known as the woman behind the Pentecostal standard “Mercy Seat.”

But through a chance encounter with CeCe Winans, Yohe’s stock is beginning to rise almost as high as her voice.

With “He’s Been Faithful,” released on the Winans-associated Pure Springs Gospel label in September, she continues a career of heartfelt praise and worship built on a set of pipes that belongs in a museum.

This record, Yohe’s seventh, is much more sharply produced than past efforts.

At just under an hour long, there are 11 chances on this album for your spirit to bow before the Lord (she calls them “songs” — check out track three, “Deliverance” and the title track featuring The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir).

It is safe to say that Yohe has officially arrived.
