Children’s honor choir prepares for concerts

The Alabama Baptist All-State Children’s Honor Choir will sing March 10-11 in Birmingham.

Concerts will be presented at Reid Chapel on the campus of Samford University at 3 p.m. March 10; at The Church at Brook Hills March 11 at 9 a.m. and at Huffman Baptist Church March 11 at 10:30 a.m.

The choir event, which is sponsored by the office of worship leadership/church music of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, is made up of children from across the state, The children had to submit audition tapes and fill out questionnaires to be considered for membership to the choir.

This is the second time the event has been held. The conductor is Jane S. Burdeshaw from Montgomery and the accompanist is Deborah Anderson from Selma. (ABSC)
