I do wish someone would make a serious study of music and come up with a type that is conducive to true worship.
There is a difference between entertainment and worship.
In no case should music take precedence over the Word of God.
It seems to me that the old inspired hymns loved by so many have been discarded, and senior citizens have felt they too are being discarded on the altar of popular choruses to please the young people.I am 80 years old and have been inspired through the years by Fanny Crosby’s many hymns and others.
It is a sad thing to see the younger generation growing up knowing nothing of these great hymns of the past, inspired by the Word. Jeremiah appealed to the people of his day to return to the old paths.
But alas, as chickens converging on a few kernels of corn, churches rush in to get the lastest choruses and have sacked the old hymns by great men of God.
