The movie “To Save a Life” is an inspiring story of how one person can make a difference.
“To Save a Life” tells the story of Jake Taylor, a young man who has everything going for him. He has a basketball scholarship, the ideal girlfriend and all the right friends. But faced with the demands of the “in” crowd, Jake, portrayed by Randy Wayne, decides he is too good for his best friend from childhood, Roger, portrayed by Robert Bailey Jr. Isolated and mistreated, Roger finally takes his anger to the extreme when he shows up one day on campus with a gun. Jake’s last-ditch effort cannot stop Roger and a tragedy unfolds that literally rocks Jake’s world. He can’t stop asking the question that is literally eating him up inside: Could I have saved Roger?
“To Save a Life” doesn’t shy away from the real struggles facing teens today. It is rated PG-13 because of its portrayal of some of these issues like teen sexuality, abortion, drug and alcohol abuse and suicide. “To Save a Life” is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
