So you want to know God. Well, it is about time. You have tried everything else, and all this time, God has been waiting for you.
He has always been there, patiently waiting for you to give up on all your stuff and come to Him. Your very own actions are the reason that you cannot find God now.
You see God is a perfect being. In Him, there is no darkness, corruption or evil. On your own, you have chosen a path that has included lies, theft and evil thoughts about others. Your path has excluded you from the very relationship you desire most right now — a relationship with your heavenly Father.
Now that you know that side of the story, what comes next for you? Let’s look at it logically. God has been waiting for you. Why? He must have some reason for waiting around for you to come to Him. What possible reason could He have?
The answer may surprise you. No, He doesn’t have anything better to do. He loves you and has intended from the beginning of time to include you in His plan. Because He is perfection (holy), He cannot have anything to do with you in your present state. Something has to be done on your behalf for things to be made right between you.
Good news. God provided a way. He offered His very own Son, Jesus, to fill in the gaps for you. Jesus lived a perfect life, one that is impossible for you to live. He laid everything, even His own life, down for you so that things could be made right between you and God.
Now what? If you sincerely desire a relationship with God, then you must be willing to accept the sacrifice that Jesus made on your behalf. Confess your tendencies and actions that were and are evil. Move away from them in your heart and life. Accept this incredible love that God, through Jesus, offers you. Because of Jesus’ goodness and God’s desire for you to know Him better, you now can have what you have been seeking. Believe in the One who made this all possible. His name is Jesus. You can begin to know God right now.
God loves you. His Son, Jesus, died for you. Trust Him. Believe Him. Give yourself to Him.
