Left Behind

The article “Is ‘Left Behind’ in Left Field?” gave the impression that everyone in the Southern Baptist Convention thinks alike.

I have taught Bible prophecy for more than 20 years in Baptist churches, and I can assure you that this is not the case.

There is a simple reason that Tim LaHaye is so popular as well as many others who have written and expounded on this subject. Namely, that people recognize the truth that we are in the last days of this dispensation and are listening for a clear voice from God concerning the “blessed hope” of Christ’s soon return. Thank God for men like Tim LaHaye who have the fortitude to teach the Word of God in the face of opposition from those who would put a wet blanket on the glorious truth of the “catching up” of the saints.
