Ten-year old Jesse Brooks of Albertville was killed and seven others were injured when a church van ran off the road and crashed near Buffalo, Wyo. Twenty-two members of Solitude Baptist Church, Albertville, were returning home from a missions trip in Plentywood, Mont.
Joey Cannady, pastor, said the van wrecked June 7 when it veered off the road to the right, hit an embankment and flipped.
“We don’t know why or what (caused the wreck),” Cannady said. “The tire didn’t blow our. We just really don’t know what happened.”
Cannady said Steve Redmond, who was driving the van, his wife Debbie Redmond and Anne Anderson are listed in critical condition. Leon Eubanks has broken ribs and a bump on the head, and Loretta are doing well and should be released from the hospital by the end of the week. Jesse’s mother, Tammy Brooks, is suffering from broken vertebrae.
