Glenn Chappelear, founder of Sportsmen’s Outreach, will be at the 2002 CITGO Bassmasters Classic and Outdoor Show at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) July 25-27.
He will be at the ranger Boats booth at the Outdoor Show, which takes place at the BJCC Arena and is free to the public. The show runs 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on the 25th and 26th, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on the 27th.
Chappelear, who started Sportsmen’s Outreach five years ago as a mission service corps volunteer for the North American Mission Board, said, “It will be a chance for some marketplace evangelism.”
Through Sportsmen’s Outreach, Chappelear attends tournaments, speaks at camps and churches, and helps churches set up wild game banquets to draw hunters and outdoorsmen to the churches.
Based in Acworth, Ga., Chappelear said he has been in Alabama for several tournaments, and plans to be back in November for a tournament on Lake Martin.
