CP giving totals 1.20 percent below last year

NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions to Southern Baptist national and international missions and ministries received by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Executive Committee are 1.20 percent below the same time frame last year, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Frank Page.

As of Feb. 28, Cooperative Program (CP) gifts received by the Executive Committee totaled $82,893,069.47 or $1,003,117.86 behind the $83,896,187.33 received at the end of February 2010.

Monthly CP receipts totaled $17,240,609.30 while designated gifts received last month amounted to $48,674,050.66.

Month-to-month swings reflect a number of factors, including the timing of receipts from state conventions.

For the SBC CP Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $82,893,069.47 is 99.56 percent of the $83,259,204.24 budgeted to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.

The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
