The Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Baptist Health System (BHS) recently passed its 10-year accreditation with the highest marks from the Southeast Region Accreditation Team of the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.
During the two-day visit, the three-person team toured and studied the programs at Baptist Montclair and Baptist Princeton, plus Baptist DeKalb, Baptist Walker and Cullman Regional Medical Center to learn how the regional programs work.
Accreditation officials also interviewed former students.
Strengths of the BHS program noted were:
Students’ interest in the program
Support assistance of the administrative assistants at both Baptist Montclair and Princeton
Use of hospitals as sited for clinical program
Strong reputation in Alabama and throughout the Southeast and
Strong administrative support and value of the program.
