Former Alabama Baptist pastor Tom Lolley, who served as a mountain missionary for North Carolina Baptists for 19 years, died July 22. The former western area missionary for the North Carolina Baptist State Convention suffered a major stroke in October 2000.
Lolley, 67, was a native of Troy. He was a graduate of Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He served as pastor of churches in Alabama, North Carolina and Virginia.
Lolley is survived by his wife, Sydney; two children; one brother and five grandchildren.
