Bullock-Centennial sees 50 people saved at crusade

Bullock-Centennial Baptist Association held an evangelistic crusade Sept. 17–21 at Conecuh Springs Christian School in Union Springs. Evangelist Ken Freeman brought the message, and Dean, Gayna and Geoffrey Forrest led the music. Chip Colee, minister of music for First Baptist Church, Montgomery, led a community choir that performed each night as well.

The event opened with a Kids’ Day on Sept. 17 at Ed Farrior Park in Union Springs. It featured games, concessions and a worship service led by the Forrests. Earl and Patsy Hinson, members of Eastside Baptist Church, Union Springs, sponsored the event in memory of their granddaughter Taylor Mullins, who was killed in a car accident earlier this year.

By Sept. 21, 450–500 people attended the crusade. Director of Missions Gene Bridgman reported that 50 people made professions of faith. “We’re being sure to follow up with these folks,” Bridgman said. He is grateful for John Bush, ACross Festivals director who helped publicize the crusade, and the generosity of the association’s churches, who raised more than $10,000 to fund the event.
