We’re home again in Chile. Thank you for praying for us as we traveled and taught.
Once again, we were greatly blessed by those who attended our conferences in Punta Arenas and Puerto Montt, Chile.
One of the participants in Puerto Montt was a pastor from a church in a nearby town. After the conference I led on Share Jesus without Fear, he told me he was scheduled a retreat with church leaders May 25. During the conference, he decided to throw out his other plans and use the retreat to teach Share Jesus without Fear, including time for the leaders to go out and put their learning into practice with lost people around them.
We had a little time between cities and conferences, so we took a bus trip to the Torres del Paine National Park. The best thing that happened during out sightseeing was watching God work in the lives of the people we met along the way. Luis was our driver and guide. We found out he had attended church as a teenager, but had had a negative experience with church members and had not been back in church in 14 years. By the end of the day, he was sharing with Ernie that he was going to visit the Baptist church in his town in wanted to raise his son in a Christian home. Pray for Luis as he draws closer to the Lord. We have asked the Chilean Baptist missionary in Puerto Natales to contact Luis for discipleship.
Pray for us as we play catch up once again. Ernie has worked hard on details for the conferences this month in Colombia.
