Kenneth Carr passed away Jan. 8 from a heart attack resulting after his third heart surgery. Carr was the pastor of Plainview Baptist Church in Tarrant at the time of his death.
Besides serving as pastor of Plainview for more than 25 years, he also served at Taylorville Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa and churches in Miami and Missouri.
Carr received his bachelor of arts from Howard College and seminary degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.
He died at the age of 66 and is survived by his wife, Donna, four daughters and six grandchildren.
