Missionaries Write

We have seen many more people come to know Christ and have seen many want to study God’s Word in weekly Bible studies in the last year.

In August last year, the first church service was held in Las Colinas, a neighborhood fairly close to our home. In the meantime, potential church leaders have been participating in a weekly training session.

This training gives them a more in-depth look at the Bible, a practical look at church organization and management, and shares with them the vision for seeing that everyone in the rural Dominican Republic has easy access to a Bible-believing church and an opportunity to hear God’s Word in a manner they can understand, according to their own cultural context and educational levels.

This was very encouraging until some of the strongest leaders decided to move the city to study at the university, leaving us lacking in leadership (as far as our human eyes can see, at least).

Please pray that new churches will grow stronger and will seek to begin new works soon and members will daily seek to win others for Christ.

Pray as we make preparations for stateside assignment June 28 and for the work while we’re gone.

Pray for the new leaders as they continue in their training and spiritual growth, and pray for our health and protection from further illnesses.
