Louis Street Baptist Church, Gadsden
As you read this, we are in the midst of celebrating one of the two greatest miracles that ever happened. That is that God loved us so much that He sent His Son so that anyone who believes on Him will have eternal life (John 3:16).
Jesus, God’s Son, became man that He might die so that we could know God and His love. You can be changed by Jesus’ death and resurrection.
In His act of obedience to His Father, He made it possible for you to have eternal life.
Let me share with you an experience I had a number of years ago. I flew to Austin, Texas, to preach a revival. The revival was to start on Sunday night. When I got to Austin, my luggage, with all my clothes and Bible with sermon notes, didn’t arrive. I preached that night without notes.
That next day, we went to the airport and still no luggage. I preached that night totally relying on the Spirit of God to give me the message that I should preach. Right in the middle of the message, a man sitting next to the center aisle stood up and fell on the floor dead. The next night, there were people standing around the walls.
God worked in a mighty way that week. Fourteen people prayed to receive salvation, and four young men were called into the ministry.
I came to know God better and walk in His Spirit as never before. God was lifted up and He drew people to Himself (John 3:32).
In 42 years of ministry, I have seen many people, maybe just like you, come to know God in a personal, life-changing way. I do not know where you are in your life, but I know One who does and He wants to come into your life and make you a new person.
Will you ask Him to forgive all your sins, come into your heart and be the Lord and Savior of your life? Will you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is God’s Son who died for your sins and was raised from the dead (Rom. 10:9–10, 13)?
I can tell you it will be the best Christmas you will ever have.
