Shirley, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Davis

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Davis Shirley, wife of Harold A. Shirley, died Dec. 19. She was 83. A native of Chambers County, she was a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. Harold was the first pastor of Weatherly Heights Church, Huntsville. His last Alabama pastorate was First Church, Talladega. The couple also served in other churches in Mississippi and South Carolina. They are members of Oakland Church, Rock Hill, S.C. Betty is survived by her husband, Harold, one daugther, one son, one granddaughter and one grandson.
