Embark Ministries to hold Amazing Race for couples

Embark Ministries to hold Amazing Race for couples

As divorce rates in America near the 50 percent range, Embark Ministries began to feel the need to expand its youth-focused ministry to a “ministry for all.”

This year, instead of just having The Amazing Race: Extreme Faith Edition for youth, the ministry will host its first race for couples.

Modeled after the TV show “The Amazing Race,” engaged or married couples will race across a 125-mile area April 28–29 completing “extreme tasks.” Tasks could include anything from repelling to an outdoor obstacle course.

The race will be followed by a couples conference with worship by Chris Walker of Cross Creek Community Church, Hokes Bluff. The conference speaker is Vista McDuffie, director of Embark.

McDuffie said he hopes the race and conference will challenge and strengthen couples who attend.

The winning married couple will win a five-day, four-night cruise to the Bahamas.

To register, visit www.embarkministries.com. There are only 25 slots available. Couples will be selected and notified by April 1.
