There are three specific topics I feel led to pray about and feel that mighty things can happen in these areas if they were covered in a continual prayer pledge.
First, each time I read the stories of persecution of Christians by Muslim extremists in foreign lands, I am so burdened and overwhelmed. I pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ, but I feel very inadequate facing such a big concern. I cannot imagine being killed for being a Christian.
This leads me to my second topic: to pray for the United States and its vulnerability to the Muslim extremists. The stories we read about abroad are just a precursor for us if we as Christians do not take a stand against this murderous group.
Third I feel we desperately need revival to take place in the heart of all Christians and for those who are not believers. We cannot sit idly by while God continues to disappear in this country at the hands of those who want to remove Him.
My hope is that churches in Alabama will sign up to pray for one month about these topics until a complete year or years were pledged out; then the process could re-loop when it needed to. Each church could set aside their own specific times or days to pray, praise and confess the word of God over these situations.
