Supreme Court Justice to Speak

Alabama Supreme Court Justice Kelli Wise will speak at Judson College chapel March 6. The event will be in the Ramsay-McCrummen Chapel in Jewett Hall at 11 a.m.

Wise is one of six women to have served on the Alabama Supreme Court. She was elected to the court in 2010 when she received the highest vote of any contested statewide candidate. 

Committed to helping at-risk children, Wise was appointed by Gov. Bob Riley to serve on the Alabama Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in 2003 and was reappointed in 2006.

She currently serves on the Alabama Law Institute Criminal Code committee, tasked with helping to rewrite the Alabama Criminal Code, and the Advisory Committee on Criminal Procedure.
