UMobile Adds Apartment-style Living for Upperclassmen

UMobile Adds Apartment-style Living for Upperclassmen: The University of Mobile (UMobile) is adding a new residence hall with apartment-style living for upperclassmen.

Construction is underway on the UMobile apartments, which will add 24 apartments totaling 94 beds to the Christian college campus. The three-story building is located across from Karlene Farmer Faulkner Hall.

The interior will feature 24 apartments, plus a central lobby and laundry rooms at each end of each hall.

The 39,918-square-foot building is expected to cost about $6.2 million including furnishings. Like Faulkner, the residence hall will have central lobby areas and could house men on one side and women on the other, if needed.

The left side of the building is on schedule to be completed by Aug. 8 in time for the start of Fall semester 2012, while the right side should be finished by November or sooner.
