I Can’t Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)
Justin Fisher. Moody: Justin Fisher, 2011. 181 pp. (Paperback).
Author Justin Fisher was born with cerebral palsy (CP), a condition that has kept him in a wheelchair all of his life. What defines his life, though, is not the CP — it’s his relationship with God. Fisher says, “I was gloriously saved at the age of 14, and it is the results of this life lived at the intersection of CP and [the] cross that are documented” in the book.
“I Can’t Even Walk” is a collection of stories Fisher has compiled from his life; many are funny, some are poignant, all are engaging and well-crafted and all are cinched up at the end with a spiritual truth. Entertaining stories written by a talented author with a solid sense of humor — what’s not to like about this book?
Fisher and his family live in Moody and are members of Valleydale Baptist Church, Birmingham.
