After a spiritually refreshing stateside assignment based in Auburn, we are back in Thyolo. We did have some challenges with the house and the car, but we are getting back into the swing of life in Africa. Bob is actively working on learning something of the Kokola language, which is unwritten.
The Kokola people continue to have no missionary assigned, so we will continue to reach out to them until the Lord sends them one.
We rejoice that new career missionaries Stephen and Karis Ward arrived safely. With the arrival of the Wards, the Lomwe team faced its first team-building challenge. We received some discouraging reports when we arrived back in Thyolo, Malawi.
Three of our most highly trained and prominent pastors are facing decisions that have affected their ministries. Pray that our Lord will raise up faithful local leadership in Lomweland. Pray that present and future leaders will be sensitive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit when God points out sin. Pray that we will have wisdom in dealing with these types of issues.
