I sit here watching the news, I see God being removed from Christmas, from school, from most everything.
We, who say we belong to the body of Christ, sit on our hands and let it happen. This whole separation of church and state thing — it is not that we can’t have religion, it’s the state that cannot have or run a religion. We let them get away with the misuse of the constitution. Are we relevant? Let us get the USA in order, then the world.

Low turnout
It’s good to hear of no mean-spirited fallout from this year’s state convention. It’s perplexing, however, to read that this year’s registration of messengers was the lowest in 50 years.
Perhaps SBC President Bobby Welch’s brief message on page 10 of The Alabama Baptist should be highlighted and expanded to include a challenge to the convention to reach out to all churches.
It’s not a criticism, but it is an observation that the convention is no longer publicized in many Baptist congregations. Why?
