CP contributions up 2.73 percent over 2003 rate

NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) Cooperative Program (CP) are up 2.73 percent compared to the same time frame in 2003, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.

As of June 30, the year-to-date total of $142,819,138.66 for CP Missions is $3,794,814.07 ahead of the $139,024,324.59 received at this same point in 2003. For the month, receipts of $13,122,510.27 were 12.68 percent, or $1,905,449.70, below the $15,027,959.97 received in June 2003.

Designated giving of $171,699,413.27 for the same year-to-date period is 14.9 percent, or $22,271,215.64, above gifts of $149,428,197.63 received at this point in 2003. The $19,173,040.16 in designated gifts received last month is $734,102.75 below the $19,907,142.91 of June 2003, a 3.69 percent decrease.
