NASHVILLE — Directors of Associated Baptist Press (ABP) approved a 2004 budget of more than half a million dollars and suspended the publication of FaithWorks magazine during their April 29–May 1 meeting in Nashville.
ABP will work with an ecumenical network of young leaders to consider transitioning FaithWorks into a new lifestyle magazine for Christians who are engaging the emerging culture. It would have a target audience of adults age 25 to 40.
ABP’s anticipated revenues of $521,000 for 2004 would be an increase over 2003’s $473,000. The budget does not include any increases for new staff positions or raises.
