NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program are up 1.81 percent compared to the same time frame in 2003, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
As of Feb. 29, the year-to-date total of $80,339,762.24 for Cooperative Program Missions is $1,424,476.92 ahead of the $78,915,285.32 received at this same point in 2003.
For the month, receipts of $14,967,782.15 were 15.37 percent, or $2,718,659.39, below the $17,686,441.54 received in February 2003. For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $80,339,762.24 is 105.75 percent of the $75,967,962.50 budgeted, or $4,371,799.74 above budget to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
