Since the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) organization in 1845, Convention messengers have elected a president at each annual session. Described as “celebrating and commemorating over a century’s legacy in great leadership,” this tome gives a five-page biography of each SBC president and reviews the historical and political context of his work.
Emir teaches at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., while Ergun, his brother, is a professor at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. The reviewer enjoyed friendship with a number of these statesmen and had them preach in his churches
