A Legacy of Sonshine
Traditional/Hopper Heritage

One of the most respected individuals in Southern Gospel Music is Connie Hopper. She always has a kind word, a smile and a loving heart for everyone.

Down through her years as a member of the Hoppers (even back when it was the Hopper Brothers and Connie), she’s always had a long list of songs that seem tailor-made for her and for the very first time, all of those songs are available on one recording.

“A Legacy of Sonshine” gets started with a song that should be labeled as Connie’s signature song, “Jesus, You just Made My Day.”

From there, you’ll find the first of songs that were originally recorded in 1970, “Searchin.’”

Yes, Connie Hopper was about 31 years ahead of the Talley Trio on this one. Other songs found on this 12-song collection include “Pretty Creek,” “What a Wonderful Time,” “Build My Mansion,” “Follow Jesus,” “If We Never Meet Again,” “Mama Was Praying for Me,” “Tramp on the Street,” “Where the Lily Blooms,” “We’ll Sing” and a prayer straight from the heart of Connie, “Make Me Mindful of Today.”

Let’s be honest with ourselves — just about everbody loves Connie Hopper. And the ones who don’t, well, they just haven’t met her yet.
