I’m writing in reference to the June 6 article titled “Moral Issue.” In this article Russell Moore, head of the Southern Baptist Convention Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, was quoted as calling these 11 million illegals in the United States sojourners. Webster’s dictionary gives the meaning of the word sojourner — to live somewhere temporarily, as on a visit; stay for awhile, a brief or temporary stay; visit. This definition does not describe most of this 11 million number. He is also quoted as using the word moral. Well the word moral means the right thing to do according to God’s Word.
I suppose it would be morally right for me to move into Dr. Moore’s yard, put up a lean-to, plug into his electric outlet, connect a hose to his outdoor water supply, ask for a hand out of money, drive my 2013 extended cab truck over his pretty yard, etc. Of course that’s not counting the outhouse behind his tool shed.
A person/family who belongs to Him will not move into Dr. Moore’s yard without his consent.
