Retired BJC director suffers torn aorta

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — James Dunn, the retired longtime executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs, is home recovering from a torn aorta, which happened March 27 as a result of an aneurysm.

Dunn splits his time between Washington — where the BJC is based and where he still serves as director of the Baptist Joint Committee Foundation — and Winston-Salem, where he is a visiting professor at the Wake Forest Divinity School.
