Southwestern reaffirmed by accrediting agencies

FORT WORTH, Texas — A report recently released by its accrediting agencies reaffirmed Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, school officials say.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS) have reaffirmed the accreditation of Southwestern Seminary.

The Commission on Colleges of SACS reaffirmed South-
western’s accreditation for another 10 years at its December meeting. The decision by SACS follows the June 2001 ruling by ATS that reaffirmed Southwestern’s accreditation for another 10 years.
